In the 37th minute, Paavo Salmela reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basilio Cordario. The goal made the score 1-1. Juha Jokiranta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goel Mahal in the 40th minute of the match. When Luciano Meuti came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Anga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Meuti couldn't finish the play. Julio Mingo took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha Jokiranta. Juha Jokiranta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Anga FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Goel Mahal to make the kick off.
