The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio-César Goacher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Maties in the 17th minute of the match. Matias Eder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Basílio Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Mino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 30th minute, Julio-César Goacher sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Águilas Poblanas's Cornelio Mino didn't even have to move. 32 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Mateus came free, but Dênis Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Mateus made a kick off. Águilas Poblanas's Cornelio Mino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Pena in the 75th minute of play. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Percival Leal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicolas Truylos, made in the 79th minute of the game. Leonardo Estavan's late challenge caught a Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Estavan helped the player get up and apologised. Leonardo Estavan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
