The Flamengo de San Blás fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Flamengo de San Blás's Zernin Pellicer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Club Puerto Quito booed when Flamengo de San Blás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando De Gracia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Club Puerto Quito defense, Zernin Pellicer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbes Cenzano. The Club Puerto Quito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbes Cenzano should have stopped the shot. In the 22ndth minute of the game Zernin Pellicer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Puerto Quito's Urbes Cenzano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Flamengo de San Blás's Chiquinho Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urbes Cenzano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 31st minute Zernin Pellicer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbes Cenzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodríguez Celerain's late challenge caught a Flamengo de San Blás's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodríguez Celerain helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Club Puerto Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodríguez Celerain to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Chiquinho Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo de San Blás fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chiquinho Neto to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Zernin Pellicer put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Urbes Cenzano. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Chiquinho Neto took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Urbes Cenzano to make any attempt to save it. Urbes Cenzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zernin Pellicer, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Urbes Cenzano made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Chiquinho Neto sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Zernin Pellicer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Urbes Cenzano. The goal made the score 0-10. Urbes Cenzano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Neto in the 70th minute. Zernin Pellicer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urbes Cenzano having to make a save. Flamengo de San Blás made a substitution. Lucho Navarro replaced Stalin Moreruela. Flamengo de San Blás's Monchi Villalaz was substituted for Zernin Pellicer. Monchi Villalaz took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urbes Cenzano. Urbes Cenzano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Monchi Villalaz scored 0-12 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urbes Cenzano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monchi Villalaz in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Urbes Cenzano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Urbes Cenzano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Monchi Villalaz's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Urbes Cenzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monchi Villalaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Flamengo de San Blás walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
