Adrian Vibjörnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elodio Angellotti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Vibjörnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Inter de Chillán's Elodio Angellotti got control of the ball when Adrian Vibjörnsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, Adrian Vibjörnsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elodio Angellotti. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elodio Angellotti should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenaido Cáceres to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Bergendahl got free with Elodio Angellotti in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the game, Adrian Vibjörnsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Warberg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Chillán the free kick. A collision led to Warberg FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Adrian Vibjörnsson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Jorge Valdivia got a free kick in the 38th minute. Adrian Vibjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elodio Angellotti having to interfere. Javier Casas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Pettersson having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Warberg FC were furious when Morgan Hallgren was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Inter de Chillán a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saturnino Troncoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Warberg FC's Lars-Erik Pettersson. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Lacunza in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars-Erik Pettersson saved Warberg FC from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Jorge Valdivia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars-Erik Pettersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 77 minutes into the game, Jorge Valdivia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Lars-Erik Pettersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Valdivia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 83 played minutes Warberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Vibjörnsson. After 89 played minutes Warberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Josef Blomqvist. Warberg FC's Josef Blomqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Lacunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lars-Erik Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter de Chillán eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
