In the 12th match minute, Los Tatangelos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzalp Şahinhan to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes, Juliano Ibáñez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Chillán and the Los Tatangelos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Juliano Ibáñez. Oğuzalp Şahinhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Luis Alfaro got free with Tamer Siraceddin in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berker Rıza Erginer charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berker Rıza Erginer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The wind increased when Berker Rıza Erginer made the kick off in the second half. Elodio Angellotti made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Berker Rıza Erginer sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Lacunza hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Elodio Angellotti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuzalp Şahinhan in the 59th minute of play.
