After 4 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Barni San Martín. Nunez Fernandez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Buenaventura Durruti got free with Nunez Fernandez in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elodio Angellotti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Idacio in the 21st minute of the match. Juan Luis Alfaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nunez Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Luis Alfaro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Nunez Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Lacunza in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, C.F.Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Nunez Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Luis Alfaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barni San Martín in the 39th minute of play forced C.F.Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Nunez Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Inter de Chillán's Juan Luis Alfaro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nunez Fernandez. Nunez Fernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After 45 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Traverso. In the 47th minute, Juan Luis Alfaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Luis Alfaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Luis Alfaro in the 53rd minute of play forced C.F.Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Nunez Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when C.F.Fuenlabrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nunez Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barni San Martín, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Juan Luis Alfaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Nunez Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Luis Alfaro in the 69th minute of play. Nunez Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Lacunza went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Nunez Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Lacunza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Nunez Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buenaventura Durruti in the 78th minute of play. C.F.Fuenlabrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Idacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buenaventura Durruti's late challenge caught a C.F.Fuenlabrada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Buenaventura Durruti helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.F.Fuenlabrada booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buenaventura Durruti didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Inter de Chillán players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
