Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Paunero's Silverio Semeno started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot by Conrado Gartxot from long distance, 3 minutes into the match, got Long Yuan De's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 5 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Gartxot. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De got control of the ball when Silverio Semeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Javier Landeras hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's José Cifuentes got a free kick in the 10th minute. Long Yuan De made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Conrado Gartxot sent off a good shot on target. Long Yuan De took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Gervaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Paunero's Alfredo Cordeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredo Cordeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paunero protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredo Cordeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paunero! Modesto Theodore had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Zuberoa Sanguino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Zuberoa Sanguino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Modesto Theodore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De got control of the ball when Alonzo Gervaso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Astillero del Guayas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Conrado Gartxot was slow to take the kick. During this time Paunero's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Conrado Gartxot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De did a great save. Modesto Theodore came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Astillero del Guayas's Dani Galiana. But to his dismay, Dani Galiana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldeón Bretal during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Baldeón Bretal got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Paunero's Conrado Gartxot got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zarando Eguizabal to strike the kick off in the second half. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Abarca in the 52nd minute of the match. Julian Abarca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Yuan De having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Alonzo Gervaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Long Yuan De came out of the goal and Alonzo Gervaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Ruy struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Long Yuan De didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paunero. 61 minutes into the match, Julian Abarca notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De. Long Yuan De was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Paunero fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Paunero's Alonzo Gervaso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 81st minute Julian Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Yuan De saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Dani Galiana came free, but Modesto Theodore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Javier Landeras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Javier Landeras. In the 90th minute Julian Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Yuan De saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Long Yuan De showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Gervaso, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Paunero walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
