Timoteo Evis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Selatse having to interfere. Nereo Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Luis Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match, Anier Eufrasio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luis Selatse was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luis Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Henry in the 35th minute of play. Rondeau's Luis Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Henry in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rondeau's zone, Ignacio Derwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Selatse came out of the goal and Ignacio Derwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Ignacio Derwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rondeau's Luis Selatse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Enaut was the one to do the kick off. When Ignacio Derwin came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Marlin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Derwin couldn't finish the play. Luis Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Evis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Erasmo Ixona was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Rico showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Derwin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Selatse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Rondeau getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Blas Caradaro hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Ignacio Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rondeau supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rondeau would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
