János Döbrögi started the match with the kick off. Emilio Ferrante might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over István Földes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Ferrante ran back to his position shaking his head. Gyál United's István Földes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chu Le Ao in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Ferrante in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck István Földes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. István Földes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Ferrante, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ferenc Boros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Géza Sipos in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PICCOLE PESTI's Aaron Anselmino. In the 16th minute, Emilio Ferrante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PICCOLE PESTI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. István Földes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Ferrante in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Ferrante came free, but István Földes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PICCOLE PESTI's Pietruzzu Rizzi got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Nico Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PICCOLE PESTI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyál United the free kick. In the 27th minute, Nico Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gyál United's goalkeeper István Földes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. István Földes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Ferrante's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Gyál United defense, Emilio Ferrante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of István Földes. The Gyál United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that István Földes should have stopped the shot. István Földes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Ferrante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half PICCOLE PESTI were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pietruzzu Rizzi was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Emilio Ferrante made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Gyál United's István Földes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Gyál United defense, Pietruzzu Rizzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of István Földes. The Gyál United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that István Földes should have stopped the shot. PICCOLE PESTI's Don Frye was substituted for Pitt Rosich. 59 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Pietruzzu Rizzi came free, but István Földes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gyál United's István Földes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. PICCOLE PESTI's Aaron Anselmino quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ferenc Boros, made in the 65th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Christian Borgatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of István Földes. Gyál United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Borgatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. PICCOLE PESTI made a substitution. Bianco Spinelli replaced Pietruzzu Rizzi. Christian Borgatello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without István Földes having to make a save. Gyál United's István Földes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Gyál United from getting a goal against them. István Földes was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Christian Borgatello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Borgatello really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. If Christian Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. István Földes made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Christian Borgatello sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 88 minutes, Christian Borgatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PICCOLE PESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Borgatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. István Földes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Borgatello in the 91st minute of play. István Földes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Borgatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. PICCOLE PESTI's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
