The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Goren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Goren in the 9th minute of play forced LEBEG Team's goalkeeper Arrigo Talone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Goren might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arrigo Talone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, LEBEG Team's goalkeeper Arrigo Talone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Goren. 15 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Goren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arrigo Talone. LEBEG Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Goren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Goren in the 18th minute of play forced LEBEG Team's goalkeeper Arrigo Talone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Comizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Cavanna in the 21st minute of play. Osvaldo Goren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Arrigo Talone made a huge save. The supporters of LEBEG Team booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Noe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Anthony Tonon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LEBEG Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Tonon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Cavanna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Angel Comizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Osvaldo Goren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arrigo Talone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Osvaldo Goren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Arrigo Talone made a huge save. Menchu FC's Osvaldo Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Goren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Arrigo Talone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Osvaldo Goren put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Arrigo Talone.

Angel Comizzo made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alberto Cavanna sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when LEBEG Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Di Cesare didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Gallardo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, one of Menchu FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Menchu FC. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when LEBEG Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Colagrossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Goren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arrigo Talone having to make a save. In the 64th minute Osvaldo Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Talone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Goren scored 4-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Talone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Fulvio Colagrossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Gonzalez Pirez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amedeo Di Vincenzo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Arrigo Talone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Gonzalez Pirez in the 78th minute of play. When Amedeo Di Vincenzo fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LEBEG Team's protests and gave Amedeo Di Vincenzo a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 minutes, Achille Aloisi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LEBEG Team and the Menchu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Achille Aloisi kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Menchu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Goren to maneuver through the defense. Menchu FC made a substitution. Felipe Quentin replaced Osvaldo Goren. In the 88th minute, Osvaldo Goren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Achille Di Cesare. If Anthony Tonon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Menchu FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
