In the 18th minute Glentown FC were awarded a corner. Tom Hasselqvist went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Bernt Söderberg heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Erich Pietta was a little too slow when Edwin Näfver got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Erich Pietta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Näfver. Mark Stripf charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Stripf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mark Stripf hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Dante Jakob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin Näfver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Erich Pietta made a huge save. Hertha 1969's Erich Pietta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Hertha 1969 from getting a goal against them. Erich Pietta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Näfver in the 44th minute of play. Erich Pietta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Näfver in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Glentown FC's Tom Hasselqvist got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Adam Jäckel made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Ros. Glentown FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Georg Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Erich Pietta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edwin Näfver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Erich Pietta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mathieu Tippelt fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hertha 1969's protests and gave Mathieu Tippelt a yellow card for diving instead. Mathieu Tippelt hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Näfver came free, but Erich Pietta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Semjon Schapiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rdth minute of the game Mathieu Tippelt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glentown FC's Stefan Ros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mark Stripf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Stefan Ros made a huge save. Erich Pietta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Ahlkvist in the 78th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Edwin Näfver notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hertha 1969's Erich Pietta. Erich Pietta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stefan Ros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathieu Tippelt in the 91st minute. Erich Pietta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Näfver's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
