In the 6th minute, Mathias dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wincent Jaworski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huey Newton in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Renan Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevideo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Chelsea the free kick. Renan Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Gijs Schaap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Loyola in the 14th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Mathias dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gijs Schaap was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wincent Jaworski made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Rick Hochinskiy sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Wincent Jaworski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Chelsea's Rick Hochinskiy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wincent Jaworski. That made the score 1-1 after 37 minutes of play. 40 minutes into the game, Rick Hochinskiy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Wincent Jaworski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Huey Newton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wincent Jaworski was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagoberto Loyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias dos Santos in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gijs Schaap saved Real Chelsea from getting behind. Wincent Jaworski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Newton in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Paraense to maneuver through the defense. Conan Wiseman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wincent Jaworski. Montevideo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wincent Jaworski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Newton, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Newton came free, but Wincent Jaworski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Howard Woodhall hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Anselmo Valladares's late challenge caught a Real Chelsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Anselmo Valladares got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Anselmo Valladares was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. Anselmo Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Tosh Hodges. Gijs Schaap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Loyola in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Loyola came free, but Gijs Schaap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wincent Jaworski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Newton, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Newton came free, but Wincent Jaworski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick Hochinskiy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 92nd minute Huey Newton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Jaworski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes, Laerte Paraíba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo and the Real Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Chelsea fully deserved thier win.
