The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Frigstad during the 2nd minute. Rakkestad IF's Kenneth Friis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Berg in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Christian Halstensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Blixt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Slipmaskinerna's Wilhelm Jakobsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth Friis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Halstensen during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rakkestad IF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Christian Halstensen hit a great ball. Christoffer Stormyr charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christoffer Stormyr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Stormyr. Kenneth Friis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rakkestad IF's Christoffer Stormyr got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Christian Halstensen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jens-Åke Blixt. The goal made the score 1-2. Kenneth Friis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Helander in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Berg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenneth Friis was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Slipmaskinerna's Wilhelm Jakobsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenneth Friis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Otto Klepp. Jerry Helander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Friis having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Halstensen to make the kick off. If Jerry Helander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilhelm Jakobsson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Christoffer Stormyr sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Åke Blixt skillfully saved the ball. Jens-Åke Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Klepp in the 58th minute of the match. Fred Forssell kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Helander got free with Kenneth Friis in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, Slipmaskinerna's Sebastian Berg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenneth Friis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Slipmaskinerna's Wilhelm Jakobsson got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilhelm Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Slipmaskinerna's Jens-Åke Blixt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Halstensen in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute, one of Rakkestad IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rakkestad IF. After 80 minutes, Hans-Petter Krogh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rakkestad IF and the Slipmaskinerna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Slipmaskinerna's Sebastian Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rakkestad IF booed when Slipmaskinerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
