The audience thought a goal was coming when Sydney Gonçalves got free with Jo Maerschalcx in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Raúl Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Psiu!'s protests and gave Raúl Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Psiu! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Laércio Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedric Van Landewijck in the 6th minute of play. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luukas Van Halbeeck sped through Psiu!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laércio Sá. Laércio Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cedric Van Landewijck went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Per Qvalfeldt came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SK Dreigoten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Qvalfeldt couldn't finish the play. Jo Maerschalcx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 曲明强 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jo Maerschalcx made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Jules Van Beringhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Dreigoten's Jo Maerschalcx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save SK Dreigoten from getting a goal against them. Laércio Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luukas Van Halbeeck's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Luukas Van Halbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Psiu!'s Jo Maerschalcx threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sydney Gonçalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th match minute, Psiu! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Laércio Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luukas Van Halbeeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sydney Gonçalves to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Erwin Kerstens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 played minutes SK Dreigoten got a freekick which was hit by Elias Van de Velde. Sydney Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jo Maerschalcx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luukas Van Halbeeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Laércio Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when Psiu! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jo Maerschalcx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Gonçalves in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Cedric Van Landewijck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Laércio Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jo Maerschalcx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Gonçalves in the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Psiu!'s zone, Luukas Van Halbeeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Sá came out of the goal and Luukas Van Halbeeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Per Qvalfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Dreigoten's Washington Hermes was substituted for Elias Van de Velde. A collision led to SK Dreigoten getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Per Qvalfeldt hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SK Dreigoten defense, Sydney Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jo Maerschalcx. The SK Dreigoten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jo Maerschalcx should have stopped the shot. Luukas Van Halbeeck kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
