In the 15th minute Bruno Domenichetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yağızalp Günden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Manly FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serter Haymanalı was slow to take the kick. During this time CİCERO's players had a chance to rest. 24 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geri Zekai came free, but Artur Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geri Zekai, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee ignored CİCERO's protests and gave Geri Zekai a yellow card for diving instead. Manly FC made a substitution. Bart Edwards replaced Stevie Nicol. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
