The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jesper Vollander managed to get in a good position for a shot. ZigZag Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesper Vollander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Massimo Rocchetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Vollander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZigZag Athletic's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bengt-Rune Öman in the 19th minute. Artur Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Cena in the 24th minute of play. Gösta Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Artur Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesper Vollander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ZigZag Athletic's attentive Hector Ares managed to snatch the ball when Massimo Rocchetti made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. Artur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Vollander, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The ZigZag Athletic fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when ZigZag Athletic's Gösta Messi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Manly FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ZigZag Athletic were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mister Yasin made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Manly FC got a freekick which was hit by Massimo Rocchetti. Jesper Vollander struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Artur Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZigZag Athletic. Artur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Cena, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, ZigZag Athletic's Jesper Vollander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Pernambucano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 65th match minute, Manly FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mac Allister to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Öman. Gösta Messi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Pernambucano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Domenichetti in the 72nd minute of play forced ZigZag Athletic's goalkeeper Teofilo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ZigZag Athletic's Jesper Vollander got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ZigZag Athletic's Yu Ran Sha was substituted for Lin Xiao Chao. Teofilo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Domenichetti in the 83rd minute of play. Daniel Agger hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. August Hökkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Artur Pernambucano made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Massimo Rocchetti got a free kick in the 90th minute. The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Domenichetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. If August Hökkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
