The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, 姜战岚 made a precise shot to the right of Uwe Ziege. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 姜战岚 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Uwe Ziege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, 姜战岚 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Ziege came out of the goal and 姜战岚 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Florian Hagen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士 the free kick. 31 minutes into the match, 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士's 姜战岚 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uwe Ziege narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 姜战岚, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Cristo Ivakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Mokros in the 84th minute of the match. With his leg Uwe Ziege managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士's 姜战岚 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 90th minute of the match 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士 got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 温威天 ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士's 温威天 to fire away a dangerous shot which Uwe Ziege despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 姜战岚. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Nedelcea in the 93rd minute of play. 『中国英雄骑士团』雷霆骑士's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
