Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Yan Rong, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Uwe Ziege came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong. But to his dismay, Pan Yan Rong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ataulfo Diosdado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. Pan Yan Rong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Ziege having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Yan Rong in the 18th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Pan Yan Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pan Yan Rong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Ziege having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Pan Yan Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Mokros got free with Szczepan Adamus in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Yan Rong, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Säfvahöjden were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Assing to maneuver through the defense. When Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uwe Ziege stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Yan Rong's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The Säfvahöjden fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64th minute of the match Säfvahöjden got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogério Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rogério Ramalho made a great header on Säfvahöjden's corner, it was just that Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege managed to reach the ball for a save. After 70 played minutes Säfvahöjden got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Olenberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pan Yan Rong in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege got control of the ball when Pan Yan Rong tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Ataulfo Diosdado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uwe Ziege. Ataulfo Diosdado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 84 minutes into the game, Pan Yan Rong recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uwe Ziege. Säfvahöjden's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
