With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Neron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Rage in the 17th managed to get into a good position. Diego Armando Maradona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Abel Neron when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
