The corner led C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Diego Armando Maradona to fire away a dangerous shot which Benedicto Iago despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Salvador Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Hellkvist having to interfere. Ingvar Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Benitez in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Defensores de Mar de Ajó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Senon to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Salvador Benitez got a free kick in the 10th minute. Benedicto Iago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Fânaru in the 12th minute of the match. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Nisipeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Botello came free, but Benedicto Iago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Iago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Armando Maradona's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Rage in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Iago saved Defensores de Mar de Ajó from getting behind. Ingvar Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Marcos Donostia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Benedicto Iago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Botello in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Przybyciel in the 33rd minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Benedicto Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Armando Maradona to make the kick off. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Denis Nisipeanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benedicto Iago in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 55th play minute Diego Armando Maradona came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benedicto Iago. 0-1. Benedicto Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Maradona in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Diego Armando Maradona made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Iago. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Maradona in the 64th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Benedicto Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Armando Maradona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the final whistle sounded C Ａ R D I N Ａ L left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensores de Mar de Ajó.
