In the 19th minute Cristobal Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Balvanera's Cristobal Hulberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benedicto Iago in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th minute Lisandro López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Taurino in the 39th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Benedicto Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Primitivo Artaldo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores de Mar de Ajó's protests and gave Primitivo Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when Defensores de Mar de Ajó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Artaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Hulberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benedicto Iago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Taurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Defensores de Mar de Ajó players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Balvanera were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro López made a kick off. Placido Cordarell hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Braulio Perrando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cayetano Behe skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Taurino in the 65th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Benedicto Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro López in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Iago saved Defensores de Mar de Ajó from getting behind. In the 69th minute Cristobal Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Balvanera's Cayetano Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Benitez in the 70th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Leandro Cordarin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benedicto Iago. That made the score 0-3 in the 75 minute of play. Cayetano Behe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Cristobal Hulberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Leandro Cordarin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benedicto Iago, passed just outside the right post.
