A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Raphael Aregger hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Paulo Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Akira Schmid skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Hoffmann in the 11th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Akira Schmid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pendotiba booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Witzig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Schär in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goal looked a bit too open when Freeman Mächler came free, but Ramiro Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Pendotiba got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Koehler. 27 minutes into the match, Freeman Mächler notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias. Ramiro Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Akira Schmid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With his leg Akira Schmid managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramiro Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Schär went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Akira Schmid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Pendotiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Espen Steelers's Freeman Mächler made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Neves made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Pendotiba got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Hoffmann. After 54 minutes, Egídio Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pendotiba and the Espen Steelers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaetano Rothstein shot from long distance in the 55th minute, but Ramiro Dias was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Paulo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Espen Steelers's Fabian Schär slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramiro Dias. That made the score 0-4 after 64 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaetano Rothstein in the 78th minute of play forced Pendotiba's goalkeeper Ramiro Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akira Schmid came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Pendotiba's Cristian Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Cristian Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Espen Steelers's Harrison Muntwyler was substituted for Freeman Mächler. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Hubert Gartenmann replaced Raphael Aregger. Akira Schmid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Gartenmann got free with Ramiro Dias in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, Hubert Gartenmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espen Steelers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Gartenmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Espen Steelers played a much better game than Pendotiba and deserved their victory. The Pendotiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
