The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Caviezel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Dominik Sauerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börge Kristiansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Akira Schmid made a huge save. Espen Steelers's Akira Schmid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Kristiansson in the 27th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Börge Kristiansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espen Steelers's Akira Schmid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Akira Schmid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Espen Steelers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaetano Rothstein in the 41st minute. The corner led to Espen Steelers's Andres Ambühl getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Dominik Sauerberg came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Espen Steelers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Sauerberg couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After recieving a nice pass, Strömsbro IF's Ola Ahlbom tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Börge Kristiansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akira Schmid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Kristiansson came free, but Akira Schmid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Uno Blomkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akira Schmid was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Freeman Mächler replaced Dominik Sauerberg. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Ola Ahlbom got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
