Divina Comédia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 2nd minute, when Guido Shantala scored to the left of an out of position Rogério Ceni, making the score, 1-0. The Divina Comédia FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Divina Comédia FC's Pedrão Paraense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dedê Cerezo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Everardo Gipuzkoa having to make a save. When Gabriel Orkatz came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Atlético Montserrat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Orkatz couldn't finish the play. After 21 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Ted. After a rather tough play, Atlético Montserrat's Nicolas Berasko got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Dedê Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Everardo Gipuzkoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximiliano Liher lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 30th minute, one of Atlético Montserrat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Montserrat. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Divina Comédia FC. Váldson Lopes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Everardo Gipuzkoa. 1-3. A collision led to Atlético Montserrat getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nicolas Berasko hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Valdir da Silva made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Saverio Arlo charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saverio Arlo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Saverio Arlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Dorian Valladares notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa. Everardo Gipuzkoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Shantala to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Dedê Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa. Atlético Montserrat's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. Pedrão Paraense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Everardo Gipuzkoa made a huge save. After 67 minutes of play, Divina Comédia FC's Valdir da Silva made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Gipuzkoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Divina Comédia FC's Everardo Gipuzkoa threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dedê Cerezo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With 77 minutes on the clock, Dênis Matos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Divina Comédia FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Nemesio Dimas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 81 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Valladares. Florencio Ferran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute Dedê Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nicolas Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Montserrat's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Berasko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Ceni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Berasko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Valério Cordeiro hit a great ball.
