Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Massa went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milton Friedman in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Vito Arruda. In the 19th minute, Aloísio Chulapa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 minutes, Milton Friedman made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Chulapa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Milton Friedman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rogério Ceni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, Milton Friedman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Ceni. Milton Friedman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Friedman in the 35th minute of play. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Arruda went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Friedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Ceni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elano de Salles in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano de Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Chulapa in the 61st minute of the match. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, Elano de Salles made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Pedro Mazza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás de Castro in the 78th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Aloísio Chulapa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Bruno Nóbrega got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Aloísio Chulapa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Divina Comédia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Chulapa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
