The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Orkatz during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Fabiofs fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Fabiofs's Elano de Salles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elano de Salles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Everardo Gipuzkoa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Everardo Gipuzkoa was a little too slow when Elano de Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Guido Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Nemesio Dimas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Elano de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabiofs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everardo Gipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás de Castro in the 22nd minute of play. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Friedman in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Atlético Montserrat booed when Fabiofs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Gipuzkoa came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Fabiofs's Milton Friedman. But to his dismay, Milton Friedman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Shantala to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Elano de Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fabiofs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. After 76 minutes of play, Fabiofs's Milton Friedman made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Gipuzkoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás de Castro in the 79th minute of play. Atlético Montserrat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás de Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-1. Fabiofs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
