With his leg Benigno Ilazki managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Peñaloza's Joachim Gregersson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Leonel Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Leonel Rayman sent off a good shot on target. Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Beltza in the 25th minute of the match. Joachim Gregersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Benigno Ilazki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Rayman scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Ilazki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joachim Gregersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Benigno Ilazki made a huge save. Benigno Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Joachim Gregersson sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peñaloza's goalkeeper Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41stth minute of the game Armando Beltza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peñaloza's Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joachim Gregersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Benigno Ilazki made a huge save. Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Mainumby's Armando Beltza. But to his dismay, Armando Beltza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Mainumby were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mainumby's Cipriano Iraitz was substituted for Tomás Pepillo. Mainumby made a substitution. Conrado Nisio replaced Honorato Omero. Mainumby's Cristian Elequemedo was substituted for Bernardo Benet. The wind increased when Armando Beltza made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Iraitz charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Iraitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Iraitz to maneuver through the defense.
