With an all-out effort, Maccabi Netanya's Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zevadiah Eden, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peñaloza's Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zevadiah Eden in the 12th minute of play. Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maoz Arkin in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Basilio Lleir made a precise shot to the right of Benzecry Butman. Maccabi Netanya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gunnvaldur Ásbergsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 20th minute.
