Benigno Ilazki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 18 played minutes Maccabi Netanya got a freekick which was hit by Malach Zafrani. Benigno Ilazki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zevadiah Eden in the 21st minute of play. After the first half Maccabi Netanya were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Benigno Ilazki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. When the match was over Maccabi Netanya could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mainumby throughout the match.
