Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Candelaria FC's Aureliano Izotz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Des Bancroft came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC LIVERPOOL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Des Bancroft couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute Marco Peli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Ed Sills lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gustavo Galindo. Gustavo Galindo was a little too slow when Des Bancroft got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 13 minutes, Alfredo Tulio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candelaria FC and the FC LIVERPOOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredo Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Rio Dunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Henrico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Phil Tolley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Tolley in the 20th minute of play. Gustavo Galindo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rio Dunn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. Gustavo Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stew Jewson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Rio Dunn made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Galindo. Candelaria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Marco Peli kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Des Bancroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Rio Dunn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Galindo. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Galindo should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rio Dunn in the 44th minute of the match. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Candelaria FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

FC LIVERPOOL's Jeff Bignot was substituted for Mark Beattie. FC LIVERPOOL made a substitution. Danny Busby replaced Justin Beevers. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rio Dunn to make the kick off. A collision led to FC LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Chip Culverhouse hit a great ball. Phil Tolley scored 8-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chip Culverhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC LIVERPOOL booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Peli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmar Kelemen hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Gustavo Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Tolley, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Candelaria FC's Aureliano Izotz got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gustavo Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Des Bancroft in the 86th minute of the match. Rio Dunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Tolley in the 90th minute of play. When Des Bancroft came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC LIVERPOOL fans jumped to their feet.
