The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, FC Draconia's Etienne Langhmans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Galindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Draconia's Ief Depauw slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustavo Galindo. That made the score 2-0 after 6 minutes of play. FC Draconia's Ief Depauw got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ief Depauw in the 11th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Teo De Kelper got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ief Depauw. The audience thought a goal was coming when Etienne Langhmans got free with Gustavo Galindo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Etienne Langhmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Galindo. Candelaria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Etienne Langhmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 23rd minute, Lorenzo Candelario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus Dhondt got free with Gustavo Galindo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Draconia's Etienne Langhmans got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Galindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Etienne Langhmans went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Teo De Kelper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okan Buruk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. Gustavo Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo De Kelper in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Ief Depauw got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Etienne Langhmans got free with Gustavo Galindo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Etienne Langhmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, FC Draconia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo De Kelper to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Etienne Langhmans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Galindo. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Galindo should have stopped the shot. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Langhmans in the 63rd minute of play. Ief Depauw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Janssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ief Depauw in the 69th minute of play. Gustavo Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Buruk in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Dhondt came free, but Gustavo Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Guido Koldobika hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Etienne Langhmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Galindo. Candelaria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Etienne Langhmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Etienne Langhmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Galindo came out of the goal and Etienne Langhmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Galindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okan Buruk's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Gustavo Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etienne Langhmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. FC Draconia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
