Florin Quelia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Eneko in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragón F.C's Edelmiro Diz got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to FC LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Michael Lachmann hit a great ball. Fe Montealegre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Thompson. FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Eron Sanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Diz in the 33rd minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Tommy Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Quelia was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Des Bancroft capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Des Bancroft really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Wilfredo Eneko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Quelia having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Sylwester Zima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC LIVERPOOL and the Golden Dragón F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, FC LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylwester Zima to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Florin Quelia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylwester Zima in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Wilfredo Eneko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Eneko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Sylwester Zima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Quelia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florin Quelia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Wilfredo Eneko spun around in front of the goal 58 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Golden Dragón F.C's goal. FC LIVERPOOL made a substitution. Ed Sills replaced Sylwester Zima. Estebano Sotorrio scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Thompson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FC LIVERPOOL booed when Golden Dragón F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josu Mendibuey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Dragón F.C's Florin Quelia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Eneko in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Eneko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florin Quelia. Golden Dragón F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Eneko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC LIVERPOOL fully deserved thier win.
