The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Klaus Dhondt got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Kraig McAlphie charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kraig McAlphie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Kristof Van Dessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zuberbühler FC's Braulio Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo De Kelper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kraig McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Crispo in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Draconia's goalkeeper Uwe Nwachukwu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uwe Nwachukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Crispo in the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Kraig McAlphie made the kick off in the second half. Tano Gutiérrez's late challenge caught a FC Draconia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tano Gutiérrez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Tano Gutiérrez got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jerry Moerman took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zoran Zahrádka. Zoran Zahrádka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Uwe Nwachukwu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Virgilio Gonzales. After 66 minutes of play Zuberbühler FC's Tano Gutiérrez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Tano Gutiérrez got a free kick in the 67th minute. The FC Draconia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 81 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Moerman came free, but Zoran Zahrádka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Kristof Van Dessen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoran Zahrádka was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 90th minute Jerry Moerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Zahrádka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zuberbühler FC's Zoran Zahrádka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Dhondt in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Draconia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zuberbühler FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
