The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moises Eyague hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When Victorino Primo came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the ORIZABA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Primo couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Dante Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Jon Hagström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ORIZABA F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cesar Lop in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Cesar Lop almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Boedo Vengo's Jon Hagström did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moises Eyague during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, De Boedo Vengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Eyague to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Amaya hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jon Hagström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Primo's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Paulo Lluciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gervasio Sazon was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Jon Hagström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Primo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lázaro Cordarius did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gervasio Sazon 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Lluciano to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Paulo Lluciano made a precise shot to the right of Gervasio Sazon. ORIZABA F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Cibran in the 60th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Gervasio Sazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Cesar Lop dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jon Hagström, 2-1. Jon Hagström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Primo in the 65th minute of the match. Jon Hagström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Primo's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. With 69 minutes on the clock, Yu Yao commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cesar Lop got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jon Hagström. Victorino Primo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Jon Hagström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Delmiro Cibran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De Boedo Vengo's Jon Hagström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save De Boedo Vengo from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Cordarius in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Sazon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Atilano Tab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. De Boedo Vengo's Jon Hagström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save De Boedo Vengo from getting a goal against them. Jon Hagström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victorino Primo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 96 minute of play. The ORIZABA F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
