Olav Øverby was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Vennancio Feyjo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vennancio Feyjo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tore Fagermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby got control of the ball when Carnero Arramendia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carnero Arramendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Tor-Egil Arntsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xzavaier Pedraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kenneth Foldnes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brufoss IL's protests and gave Kenneth Foldnes a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Foldnes. After 37 minutes, Tor-Egil Arntsen made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ornopata's Xzavaier Pedraza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carnero Arramendia was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Carnero Arramendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Foldnes came free, but Xzavaier Pedraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tor-Egil Arntsen to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bastian Ytterstad got free with Xzavaier Pedraza in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jørund Nyhagen charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jørund Nyhagen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Jørund Nyhagen got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Camilo Alderete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbez Naveros kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Camilo Alderete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vennancio Feyjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ornopata's Gonzales Subijana got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xzavaier Pedraza made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Kevin Hægeland sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Eskil Almaas took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Xzavaier Pedraza to make any attempt to save it. Gonzales Subijana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Olav Øverby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Brufoss IL's Kevin Hægeland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xzavaier Pedraza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brufoss IL eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
