The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Baena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Bastian Ytterstad put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Xzavaier Pedraza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tor-Egil Arntsen got free with Xzavaier Pedraza in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th match minute, Ornopata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose-Antonio Hiriart to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Bastian Ytterstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastian Ytterstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vennancio Feyjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Brufoss IL defense, Carnero Arramendia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. The Brufoss IL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olav Øverby should have stopped the shot. Gonzales Subijana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Olav Øverby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carnero Arramendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ornopata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Tor-Egil Arntsen scored to the left of an out of position Xzavaier Pedraza, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carnero Arramendia made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vennancio Feyjo in the 51st minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Quiñónez Lloreda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Bastian Ytterstad made a precise shot to the right of Xzavaier Pedraza. Ornopata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Xzavaier Pedraza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Kevin Hægeland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xzavaier Pedraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vennancio Feyjo in the 87th minute of play. Ornopata were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Brufoss IL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gonzales Subijana took the corner. The corner led Ornopata's Urbez Naveros to a score. 8-2 in the 88th minute. Eilert Grønseth was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Eilert Grønseth hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jose-Antonio Hiriart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ornopata's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose-Antonio Hiriart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olav Øverby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brufoss IL had won after a very even match.
