Iker Carabajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berry Hertog, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Donyo Gidikov hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Diego Goos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Valentin Karakushev made a huge save. Purple Talents were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christof Bernage took the corner. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Michel Batistuta got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 15th match minute, Purple Talents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Purple Talents's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christof Bernage in the 25th minute. The corner led Purple Talents's Christof Bernage to fire away a dangerous shot which Valentin Karakushev despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Michel Batistuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michel Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Karakushev having to make a save. In the 29th minute Michel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Karakushev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's zone, Michel Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Karakushev came out of the goal and Michel Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг defense, Michel Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Karakushev. The ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Karakushev should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miho Rankov to make the kick off. Velko Lambov scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iker Carabajal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Karakushev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Goos went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute, Michel Batistuta made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Karakushev. ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. During the 74th minute of the match Diego Goos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Diego Goos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Goos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Batistuta took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Karakushev. Valentin Karakushev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miho Rankov got free with Iker Carabajal in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Purple Talents walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
