Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Abraão in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Thomás do Valle got a free kick in the 14th minute. Paulo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian de Moraes in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Thomás do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Merusca F&P - CIMZ booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Marcinho Negri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Paulo de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dorian de Moraes. But to his dismay, Dorian de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merusca F&P - CIMZ were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zac Ba Loua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Marcinho Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Merusca F&P - CIMZ played a much better game than Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and deserved their victory. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
