The supporters of Merusca F&P - CIMZ booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ke Chang Lin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Fabiano Abraão took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paulo de Mendonça to make any attempt to save it. Humberto Pitta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Paulo de Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zac Ba Loua in the 12th minute of play forced Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Willian Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zac Ba Loua scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willian Trevisan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabiano Abraão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo de Mendonça. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. After 41 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ke Chang Lin. 42 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dorian de Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 46 minutes into the game, Cleiton Cosme threw the ball into play from the sideline. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Raimundo Amorim quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 48th minute, Frédson Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 52 minutes, Humberto Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merusca F&P - CIMZ and the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Pitta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Abraão in the 57th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 59 minutes on the clock, Ke Chang Lin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Dorian de Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Abraão came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dorian de Moraes. But to his dismay, Dorian de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Marcinho Negri replaced Fabiano Abraão. After 81 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Pimenta. Paulo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Negri in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Cleiton Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo de Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Merusca F&P - CIMZ were the better team. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
