Di Röe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plaza Babys CF the free kick. Manuel Moya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Tan, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Di Röe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kent Gunnarsson in the 11th minute. In the 17th minute Arnaldo da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Moya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Moya was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The referee ignored Di Röe's protests and gave Vilhelm Helström a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Plaza Babys CF's Aparicio Ladra in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Di Röe's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo da Fonseca got free with Manuel Moya in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timmy Gunnarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Moya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timmy Gunnarsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 65 minutes, Zinédine Židan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Röe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinédine Židan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Plaza Babys CF booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Zinédine Židan hit a great ball. Eric Heredia hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arnaldo da Fonseca 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Plaza Babys CF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Di Röe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
