The tension between the FC Old Dogs United and the Henley on Thames United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, FC Old Dogs United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stayko Pavlikyanov to maneuver through the defense. The Henley on Thames United fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Henley on Thames United's Rowan Ryder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 11 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's goal looked a bit too open when Stayko Pavlikyanov came free, but Ross Armitage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stayko Pavlikyanov in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ross Armitage saved Henley on Thames United from getting behind. Henley on Thames United's Ross Armitage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stayko Pavlikyanov in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Henley on Thames United got a freekick which was hit by Rowan Ryder. In the 18th match minute, Henley on Thames United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Gray to maneuver through the defense. Anastas Merazchiev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rowan Ryder in the 22nd minute. Henley on Thames United's Ross Armitage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stayko Pavlikyanov in the 31st minute of play. Ross Armitage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Violet Skachkov's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 42 minutes of play, Henley on Thames United's Glenn Westwood made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastas Merazchiev was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Westwood made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Ross Armitage successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ross Armitage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stayko Pavlikyanov's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Henley on Thames United's Ross Armitage proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Henley on Thames United from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Gabriel Nanev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Old Dogs United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Henley on Thames United the free kick. After 57 played minutes FC Old Dogs United got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Nanev. Henley on Thames United made a substitution. Tarjei Tomren replaced Vance Ainsworth. After a rather tough play, FC Old Dogs United's Gabriel Nanev got a free kick in the 59th minute. Stayko Pavlikyanovs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Ross Armitage to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Henley on Thames United's Rick Holt got a free kick in the 68th minute. Violet Skachkov in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ross Armitage, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 73 minutes into the match, FC Old Dogs United's goal looked a bit too open when Rowan Ryder came free, but Anastas Merazchiev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ross Armitage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Violet Skachkov in the 75th minute. Ross Armitage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stayko Pavlikyanov's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. FC Old Dogs United were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Henley on Thames United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. In the 95th minute, Paulo Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Old Dogs United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Henley on Thames United.
