With a little luck, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Sílvio Luiz Goiano got control of the ball when Otto Dubler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Carmelo Sifon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilius Ringeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Sifon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Sifon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilius Ringeli having to interfere. Basilius Ringeli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolás Guerrero in the 58th minute. It was Nicolás Guerrero who took care of the corner kick. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Nicolás Guerrero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basilius Ringeli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carmelo Sifon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Basilius Ringeli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tarada's zone, Cristian Santamaria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilius Ringeli came out of the goal and Cristian Santamaria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Basilius Ringeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Otto Dubler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
