In the 2nd match minute, Milferio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Ponc to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Cresenciano made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Clemente Herena sent off a good shot on target. In the 5th minute Albino Vasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Tximitx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Milferio's goal looked a bit too open when Valentín Barco came free, but Ruperto Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aarón Anselmino got free with Ruperto Cresenciano in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Selmo shot from long distance in the 16th minute, but Ruperto Cresenciano was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 17 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Selmo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Urko in the 18th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Ariel Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Cresenciano made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Clemente Herena sent off a good shot on target. After 23 played minutes Milferio got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Ponc. A collision led to Milferio getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tomas Birjaio hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Milferio's goal looked a bit too open when Valentín Barco came free, but Ruperto Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milferio's Rodolfo Páez got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Rodolfo Páez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariel Tximitx was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Milferio booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Edinson Cavani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruperto Cresenciano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Valentín Barco could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Ruperto Cresenciano however easily saved by the left post. Ruperto Cresenciano made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Edinson Cavani sent off a good shot on target. Ruperto Cresenciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Herena, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Herena to strike the kick off in the second half.
