Serafim Mesquita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when The Potters's Diego Gentil shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tavs Kibshede in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s César Siqueira got a free kick in the 25th minute. Albertinho Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertinho Travassos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Nedell in the 40th minute of play. Filipe Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, one of Várzea F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Várzea F.C.. 46 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Endre Ábrahám.

59 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Endre Ábrahám came free, but Serafim Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes, Gerhardt Ryer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Potters and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Potters fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafim Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Victor Nedell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marco Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Várzea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Mangueira couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Alessandro Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alessandro Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Várzea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Mandrak couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Potters fully deserved thier win.
