Sefa Rahmet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 31st minute Jurand Jazowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Radomil Deput threw the ball into play from the sideline. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Gérard Piqué quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After the first half Zjem Cię were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jurand Jazowski was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 70 minutes, Jurand Jazowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zjem Cię's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Jazowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zjem Cię's Roch Wawrukiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Yafes in the 73rd minute of play. Roch Wawrukiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vural Sağlamer, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, Zjem Cię was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulryk Kociniewski to maneuver through the defense. Vural Sağlamer struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Roch Wawrukiewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB. If Dušan Tadić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 minutes, Ulryk Kociniewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zjem Cię and the 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB players grew even worse after the yellow card. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zjem Cię would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
