When Felipe Bastiaro fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cebollitas F.C.'s protests and gave Felipe Bastiaro a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Cebollitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Bastiaro. Fiori Vasconcelos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casimiro Erramun. Cebollitas F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anselmo Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Cebollitas F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Leonardo Sigali hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jano Cavalcante in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Erramun saved Cebollitas F.C. from getting behind. Oleg Timofeev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Bastiaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Jano Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cebollitas F.C.'s Casimiro Erramun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cebollitas F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fiori Vasconcelos was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fiori Vasconcelos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casimiro Erramun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Casimiro Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Sigali kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Lisandro Martine was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, one of Cebollitas F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Casimiro Erramun had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Fiori Vasconcelos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Casimiro Erramun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fiori Vasconcelos went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jano Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cebollitas F.C.'s Casimiro Erramun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Cavalcante in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casimiro Erramun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Montevideo defense, Felipe Bastiaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oleg Timofeev. The Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oleg Timofeev should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute of the match Carlos Alberto Dias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Erramun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Celso Savier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Timofeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Cebollitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Celso Savier made the kick off in the second half. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Savier, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Jano Cavalcante made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 60thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Casimiro Erramun would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. With his leg Casimiro Erramun managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cebollitas F.C.'s Casimiro Erramun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cebollitas F.C. from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Leandro Brito in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jano Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Casimiro Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Montevideo fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Bastiaro in the 80th minute of the match. Leandro Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Erramun having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Jano Cavalcante lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Casimiro Erramun. Casimiro Erramun made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jano Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. When Celsinho de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho de Almeida couldn't finish the play.
