Hamílton Rezende made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Cirilo Urki sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Werner Geißler hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Urki in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Rezende saved October 04 from getting behind. After having played for 23 minutes, Cirilo Urki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Urki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute Wesley Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cirilo Urki got free with Hamílton Rezende in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. October 04's Hamílton Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Urki in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Cirilo Urki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamílton Rezende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cirilo Urki's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the match, October 04's goalkeeper Hamílton Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cirilo Urki. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cirilo Urki might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Urki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute Cirilo Urki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Urki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hamílton Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamílton Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Geißler in the 67th minute of play. When Werner Geißler came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Geißler couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Teles in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Niklas Sauter made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Pedro Paulo Paes sent off a good shot on target. Valdir de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Hamílton Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of October 04 for a fine match.
