If Andrea Caroselli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. Bianco Domenghini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camillo Bianchi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Guilherme Hermes came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Phenomena's Enrico Mazzetti. But to his dismay, Enrico Mazzetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Marinho Maringá might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Concetto Testi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marinho Maringá ran back to his position shaking his head. When Andrea Caroselli fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phenomena's protests and gave Andrea Caroselli a yellow card for diving instead. Davide Cipollini struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Guilherme Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomena.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrico Mazzetti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Velasco. In the 75th minute, Enrico Mazzetti made a precise shot to the right of Guilherme Hermes. Desportivo Coala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 78 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Guilherme Hermes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrico Mazzetti. In the 79th match minute, Phenomena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Mazzetti to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Phenomena got a freekick which was hit by Davide Cipollini. In the 87th minute, Diego Loiacono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guilherme Hermes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Concetto Testi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marinho Maringá's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Enrico Mazzetti struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Guilherme Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomena. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. In the 101st minute of the match, Enrico Mazzetti got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guilherme Hermes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Desportivo Coala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Phenomena were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
