Allan Kielstedt's late challenge caught a Portuguesa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Kielstedt helped the player get up and apologised. Allan Kielstedt hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Portuguesa's Giovani de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benino Ibias in the 23rd minute of play. Giovani de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Wik in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Kielstedt got free with Giovani de Amaral in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malte Brummer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Arantes in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Allan Kielstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Wik in the 33rd minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Benino Ibias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Germano Matorin hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Jeff Bernard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Befruktas FC and the Portuguesa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeff Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Befruktas FC's Malte Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto de Barros in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes Befruktas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yuri de Queiroz who took care of the corner kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Arantes to make the kick off. Befruktas FC's Malte Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto de Barros in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Befruktas FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Bernard. Benino Ibias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovani de Amaral having to make a save. When Jano Berger fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portuguesa's protests and gave Jano Berger a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Jano Berger got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 69th minute, Betinho Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Arantes in the 71st minute of play forced Befruktas FC's goalkeeper Malte Brummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Befruktas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Lindkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Benino Ibias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fridolf Hermelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malte Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Portuguesa's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Portuguesa may have spent more time on the ball, but Befruktas FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
