In the 12th minute, Remus Vermeşan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Václav Židek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Vermeşan in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Václav Židek saved FC Kukova from getting behind. The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when FC Kukova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matej Polgár didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Victor Huștiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Václav Židek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Thomás Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ľubomír Pittner. Ján Kolman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Remus Vermeşan scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Václav Židek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcel Petculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Matej Polgár came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Kukova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matej Polgár couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Thomás Linares got control of the ball when Juraj Grenčík tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kukova's goalkeeper Václav Židek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Tomáš Pančík was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kukova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASF BAIA MARE -MM- the free kick. After 46 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Pančík.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remus Vermeşan made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Pittner in the 52nd minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Thomás Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sandu Gheorghiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Victor Huștiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Václav Židek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ľubomír Pittner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dacian Puiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Václav Židek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Vermeşan in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Remus Vermeşan. The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when FC Kukova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Tandlich didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Remus Vermeşan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Václav Židek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ASF BAIA MARE -MM- reached it. Václav Židek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Vermeşan in the 93rd minute of play. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
